Temporarily down

I apologize for this interruption of service; SHAW CABLESYSTEMS LIMITED ("Shaw") has disconnected my internet services in breach of our prior agreement(s).

They have refused to re-negotiate and seem to think they can get away with breaking the Law. Further action is being taken to either attempt to settle or liquidate their obvious dishonour through an international agency.

Note to other Shaw customers: Shaw's legal department is, in my mind, extremely sparse and lacks any resemblence to a real "legal" department. The woman handling my case was a "Litigation Coordinator"; they do not appear to even have a competent legal team. If they did, none of this would have happened.

Question to folks: Party A presents a Money Order to Party B to be forwarded to Party C (Bank). The instrument's clear terms are that Party C is liable on the instrument if it fails to honour it to Party B; Party C does dishonour it (by not doing anything with it and ignoring it (or stealing it)). Would Party A be liable at all? Would Party B have any legal right to go after Party A for the instrument Party C dishonoured? If you can truthfully answer this question, please drop me a line at deft (dot) productions (at) gmail (dot) com and if I can make it to a computer with internet access, I'll be able to read it.

If your answer is that Party C is ultimately liable, and Party A has no liablity in the matter, please also drop me a line and maybe tell me what you would do in this instance - seeing as it all hangs on whether or not Shaw's services are connected. The goal here is to keep the services connected, because I gave them the funds for them within the terms of the service agreement, and they have failed to abide by their own contract, notwithstanding the additional contract I faithfully executed with them. They have not even addressed said agreements.

Regardless of your answers, I believe an international liquidation would be in order. I can evidence their dishonour and make it extremely profitable for the agency to liquidate.

However, if anyone else out there has any other ideas, please do drop me a line.
